Geo Tagging Beta

The Geo Tagging captures and returns geographic coordinates when executed. It includes latitude and longitude details, along with accuracy measurements, to provide precise location data. This module is useful for verifying locations, tracking activities, or enhancing location based workflows.

This flow supports both Mobile and Web applications.

Prerequisites

  • If Mobile application is configured, make sure to download the ezto verify mobile app before proceeding with the flow,

How to Setup

1 Navigate to Workspace > Workflows, and click on the flow created for Geo Tagging. If you need understanding in creating a workflow, refer to the step-by-step guide here.

2 Hover over the plus (+) symbol and select Workflow. From the list, click Geo Tagging to add it.

5 After you've configured everything needed, click on SAVE.

6 Proceed to attach the workflow to the relevant application for execution. Refer to the instructions on how to attach a workflow to an application here.

Expected Result

Based on the provided configuration, the information that will be fetched for Geo Tagging includes the following parameters:

NameDescription
geo_tagging_verified_atTimestamp (in Unix epoch format) indicating when the Geo Tagging details were verified.
geo_tagging_verifiedThis indicates whether geo tagging verification has been completed. The value will be "True" if the registration is successfully completed and "False" if it is not.
geo_tagging_accuracyAccuracy level of the geo-tagging data, typically measured in meters.
geo_tagging_longitudeLongitude coordinate of the captured location.
geo_tagging_latitudeLatitude coordinate of the captured location.

The response received will include the accurate information mentioned above. Note that, the response values can vary depending on the specific workflow modules.

How it Works

note

The Geo Tagging Verification has two types of verification methods,

  • Web Application: Verification happens through a web-based process. Any web-supported Verification Way and Result Notification Way can be used.

  • Mobile Application: Verification is done via the ezto verify mobile app. The Verification Way must be configured as Mobile, and any applicable Result Notification Way can be used.

1 Launch Postman or your preferred API tool and execute the flow by configuring the suitable Method, URL, and Body settings. If you're seeking guidance on how to perform these actions, see here.

2 Upon initiating the API call, a verification request will be sent to your configured Verification Way settings.

3 Based on the request, execute the flow in an incognito browser and follow the prompts to complete the verification process.

To ensure Geo Tagging works correctly, location access must be enabled for your browser.

  • If the location is not enabled, follow the prompted steps to enable location access. The steps provided may differ based on the browser. For instance, Google Chrome is used here.

Steps

  • Once enabled, click the on Retry button.

Retry

  • Geo Tagging will begin retrieving location details.

Loading

  • The verification process will then be completed.

Completed

4 The response can differ depending on the chosen Verification Way and Notification Way configurations. To know more, see here.
